The official website of the 17th Meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP17) to the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity, to be held in Yerevan in the autumn of 2026, has been launched.
The website is designed to serve as the primary information platform for COP17, providing essential information for conference participants, delegations, observers, media representatives, civil society organizations, the scientific community, and all interested stakeholders.
The official website contains information about COP17, Armenia, the Convention on Biological Diversity, the conference's two main areas-the Blue Zone and the Green Zone-as well as dedicated sections on participation, visas, accreditation, travel, the agenda, and meetings.
Separate sections are also available for media representatives, featuring press releases, photographs, videos, live streams, as well as the official COP17 logo and branding materials.
The Green Zone is intended to serve as a space open to the public, where exhibitions, discussions, cultural events, and educational activities will be held, engaging young people, civil society organizations, the scientific community, artists, and other interested groups.
The Blue Zone will serve as the official negotiation area of the conference and will be reserved for accredited delegations, intergovernmental organizations, observers, experts, and media representatives. The Blue Zone will host the official COP17 negotiation process, including plenary sessions, contact group meetings, high-level and ministerial meetings, thematic roundtables and briefings, as well as discussions of draft decisions, presentation of reports, and assessments of implementation progress.
The 17th Meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP17) to the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity will take place in Yerevan from 19 to 30 October 2026. The conference is regarded as one of the most important international forums on biodiversity conservation and will focus on reviewing progress in the implementation of the Kunming–Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework.
