On 1 November the National Assembly did not approve the candidacy of Nikol Pashinyan for the seat of the Prime Minister for the second time during a special session on Thursday.
RA NA 'Yelq' Faction head Lena Nazaryan presented the candidacy of the Prime Minister and outlined that the nomination of Nikol Pashinyan has a formal nature and there is no need to elect him. The nomination has been performed to ensure the complete application of the procedure laid down by the Armenian Constitution. According to the Constitution, the parliament will be dissolved as the PM was not elected twice.
