Hayatsq, Arthur Hovhannisyan
The “Hayatsq” newspaper has published the article by Arthur Hovhannisyan, which contains certain details about the case of Global Gold Mining Company, Ex Nature Protection Minister Vardan Ayvazyan and unsolved crime of Deputy Head of Police Gevorg Mheryan. The article particularly says, “…On 20 November the director of Armenian representation of Global Gold Mining Ashot Petrosyan addressed a letter to G. Mheryan, “Van (Van Grigoryan) sent this letter to me after our conversation. “As soon as you get it, please tell me. Ashot” The letter is written in English and it refers to the arbitration of Vardan Ayvazyan and Global Gold Mining Company. Van Grigoryan asked to organize a meeting with the person to be appointed or authorized by the arbitration. The afterword says, “I don’t ask you to get involved in the negotiations, just pass the information, find the person who will want to work with me, for now hold back as soon as you can…Two months before Mheryan’s assassination, on 2 December 2008 Ashot Poghosyan sent another letter to Mheryan, which says that the documents about the mine development are not signed by Nature Protection Ministry. And request for help, “Please, help me…”
