The rush is connected with draft RA law “On Specially Protected Areas”. In social networks “Center for Bird Lovers” NGO Chairman Silva Adamyan has circulated existing two draft laws. The old project has been sent to the Institute of Botany of National Academy of Sciences of Armenia, the other project is displayed on the website of Nature Protection Ministry. The opinion of scientists misses in this project. The scientists of the Center for Zoology, Hydroecology and Ichthyology proposed to ban tourism in the reserves and to take out tourism centers from reserves. If needed, they can be built next to the reserve, while animals should remain in the wild nature. What about carrying out scientific placement, it should be free of charge. Reserves shouldn’t be used by state bodies, local administrations, natural and legal entities.
