“The political parties can’t overthrow the established authorities, This is within the power of self-organized citizens,” said Garegin Chukazchyan, one of the initiators of establishing a parliament. The rally in the support of the parliament of self-organized citizens was held in Mashtots Park on 20 February. There they made up lists of people, who supported this initiative. Among initiators we can find public figures, activists representing “Sardarapat”, “Trchkan”, “Jermuk Won’t Become a Mine”, “Teghout Support” etc. The speakers heavily criticized the elections that took place in Armenia. They assessed the socio-economic policy the authorities ran as a destructive one, while the extent of risks for the existence of the country as rather high.
