The Public Environmental Alliance is demanding to appoint a public representative in the contest committee on the elections of “Khosrov Forest” State Reserve Director. The Alliance has addressed a letter to Nature Protection Minister Aram Harutyunyan, which says, “The Public Environmental Alliance expresses its concern in regard with the contest for the position of “Khosrov Forest” State Reserve Director. It’s already the third time since the public has been beating alarm signal in regard with this issue taking into consideration the list of published contenders. The Alliance is demanding to include representatives of science, civic initiatives and NGOs into the contest committee. Public representatives will foster the process to make it more transparent…” the letter says.
