“Green“ Activists See off Deno Gold Mining Under “Shame” Shouts

The green activists chanted “Shame” seeing Deno Gold Mining Company Hrach Jabrayan and “Khostoup” TV Director Sasun Manukyan from the court hearing on 15 April. The company representatives and accompanying person arrived at the court to take part in the claim against a famous public figure, activist Yeghia Nerssisian. The “green” movement organized a protest demonstration.
Only several people were allowed to enter to the court building motivating this with the small sizes of the hall that can’t house all the people. They didn’t allow people with posters in. Nevertheless, the protest participants conducted their own hearings. With the megaphone the activists spoke about social injustices, dismissals and violations of standards for the construction of tailing dumps and other hazardous objects, breakdowns, and court proceedings, which the company was involved in.
Waiting for the administration of Deno Gold Mining Company and their supporters to come out of the court building the activists saw off them to their cars chanting “Shame”, “Green, Clean Armenia”, “Leave Armenia” and other slogans.
