On the background of intense waiting for the increase in gas and electricity prices “Stop Increase in Gas Prices” civic initiative calls on Facebook to demonstrate activity and to return to the society the leverages seized by tycoons.
The statement circulated by the initiative particularly says, “…On 29 May Public Services Regulatory Commission had an event with unknown status. The public eye witnesses how Commission Chairman Robert Nazaryan’s attempt to approve gas and electricity tariffs though imitating public hearings failed. It should be noted that the Commission didn’t specify the status of that given event - a working meeting or public hearings. To misinform and mislead the public this event was held in improper conditions, in small space deprived of any conditions for holding hearings. Thus, the public was proved that its participation has imitating nature. Citizens can return to our society the leverages seized by criminal-oligarchic system…” the statement says.
