“We Are This City’s Owners” Civic Initiative is demanding to immediately take out the machinery from the yard at 5 Komitas Avenue. The statement disseminated by the initiative says that the construction is illegal and contradicts to the master plan of Yerevan.
“Corrupted officials and big business have decided to embezzle the few green zones in Arabkir administrative area. Arabkir RPA leader sells pavements and green zones in Kasyan, Gyulbenkyan streets and Barekamutyun crossroad. It’s a part of antisocial governance, which results in Yerevan residents fell stuffy in their own city.
We are calling for all Yerevan residents to join the opposition of the residents at 5 Komitas Avenue against the illegal actions of the officials and embezzlement of public property,” the initiative statement says.
