The project aimed at beautifying Yerevan is widely advertized by the Municipality and special funds have been allotted for the campaign. Here you can see objects, which are in progress of construction, with ad fence, which says “Beautifying Yerevan”. You can see an ugly concrete structure just on the pavement of Abovyan Street, i.e. in the pedestrian zone, closed with “Beautifying Yerevan” banner. This structure is not a temporary pavilion and all proper infrastructures and communications should be contacted, which, should, in their turn, have permits.
We don’t want to dispute our Mayor’s statement, that everything the Municipality does is legal. Both the construction and issued permits may have legal grounds, if, for example, a political decision is reached on the constructed object, with the agreement of political parties, factions etc. What can it be? Let’s wait for the moment, when the construction will finish and the building will have the proper sign.
