British “Orogen Gold” has discovered a wide gold zone in Mutsq mine. As the official website of “Orogen Gold” company informs, first step-out drilling discovers wide gold zone at shallow depth - 59.5m @ 0.42g/t Au and 42m @ 0.78g/t Au. Discovery opens potential for larger gold deposit at Mutsk. Extensive alteration with local high grade zones confirmed, limits currently undefined. Several gold and multi-element soil anomalies identified for follow-up. Geophysics and further drill programme planned for spring 2014.

Mutsq is a gold and multi-element mine, it’s also known as Bardzravan, and is located 2.5 km south-east from Mutsq (Bardzravan) village, Sisian area, Syunik Region. It’s interesting that “Orogen Gold” company highlights only gold ignoring other natural resources, but the book authored by Hrachya Avagyan, Dr. in Geological Sciences, says this mine contains copper, zinc, lead, silver, selenium, tellurium, bismuth, thallium, indium, cadmium, gallium, mercury and iron, besides iron.
