Awareness March Against Increase in Electricity Price (Photos)

On 29 June “Against Increase in Electricity Price” civic initiative held an awareness raising campaign by marching from Mashtots Park via Freedom Square, Cascade to Republican Square. The initiative calls for all Armenian citizens to take part in the protest demonstration to be held on 1 July, at 10:30, near the building of the Public Services Regulatory State Committee. On this very day the PSRSC will have a session, where the decision to increase electricity price will be held. “It means we have to work for them… nothing like that will happen…I’m an electrician, there is no substantiation for price increase, this process aims to fill their own pockets…I can’t pay the bills even now, not to mention what will happen, when it goes up,” the citizens were complaining.
