On 25 September environmentalist-photographer Yeghia Nerssesian has a meeting-talk with the peopled entitled “Our Country Is a Country” at Narekatsi Art Union. “When I newly arrived, I heard the expression “Our country is not a country” many times, which made me very angry. Knowing the Armenian nature I could say that our country is a very good country,” Yeghia Nerssesian told the participants and presented his photos of Armenian nature as proof. …There is no sustainable mining in the world, and there is no country in the world, which can be sustainable due to mining… The main problem is that people think they are the most important value and underestimate the rest, but, as a matter of fact, people are a part of the whole planet and nature. Let’s live with this consciousness and not exploit the nature for our personal and even state interest, let’s live in harmony with the nature and no problem will arise,” Yeghia Nerssesian particularly said in his speech.
