New Regulations for Solar and Wind Stations

The Public Service Regulatory Committee has reached a decision, which says that it is planned to issue relevant licenses for the construction and operation power plants up to 5 MW capacity, for solar power plant till 31 December 2019 with aggregate capacity of 100 MW, while in the case of wind power plants there is no limitation of aggregate capacity.

The tariffs of the electricity delivered from these power stations will be set the same as those set for SHPPs constructed on the natural water flows (existing tariff – 23.864 AMD/kph without VAT) on the condition that the first decision on the tariff will be reached by 31 December 2020, while in case the first decision on the tariff is reached after 1 January 2021 the tariffs will be set in line with the regulation on issuing licenses to such stations after 1 January 2020.
