Renewable Energy is One of Economic Development Priorities for Armenia: Tigran Avinyan

Not having own sources of fuel and energy, the Republic of Armenia attaches a great significance to the use of the potential of the renewable energy. For this purpose, the government considers the development of renewable energy as one of the priorities of the economic development. A comfortable environment is being established for the investments in the energy sectors, as a result of which the energetic safety of the country and its independence level will increase, as Acting Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan said  at ‘Armenia’s Energy Week 2018’ held on 14 November. Acting Deputy Prime Minister outlined that energy efficiency and saving are important directions in the governmental policy. As a matter of fact, energy efficiency has a big potential in all the sectors of the Armenian economy. Tigran Avinyan added that one of the most important conditions in the dynamic development of sustainable and smart energy is the improvement of people’s lives and increase in its living standard.
