"Apahov Taniq" LLC, which operates 'Vahagni' SHPP constructed on the Tandzut River, Lori Region, responded to the material published on EcoLur's website entitled 'Vahagni SHPP: Monitoring Results'.
In his letter addressed to EcoLur "Apahov Taniq" LLC Director M. Aramyan says,
'Our company has discussed the proposals made by you, and in this regard I would like to advise the following:
Your proposal of equipping the water intake section with automatic management system and measuring devices can't be implemented because of the absence of technical and professional solutions. The amount of the set environmental flow is adhered to. What about the water amount used by the SHPP, it's planned to renovate completely the water intake section of the SHPP in the spring of 2016 together with the entire reconstruction of the fish passway.
The fish-protecting nets are installed according to the project and serve their goals.
The garbage collected in the water intake section had been removed, at the same time they reached an arrangement with the garbage collecting company in Vanadzor Town to collect the garbage in the area.
Because of the absence of the financial means the re-equipment of the station with up-to-date equipment is not feasible. It's planned to be done in 2018.
'Vahagni' SHPP is making use of the car road running across the railway area located next to the station, and not across the area owned by the community resident. What about the noise of the station I would like to advise that based on the complaint of the same resident Sanitary and Hygienic Station of Lori Region made measurements in the SHPP area and they showed the noise complies with the existing standards.
Below we present the photos of the "Vahagni" SHPP provided by "Apahov Taniq" LLC.
