Up to 70% of Armenia's forests are degraded, as the document entitled "Armenia Forest Landscape Restoration Note" prepared by the World Bank Group employees mentions.
In order to improve the state of the forest sector, World Bank experts suggest to approve the national landscape restoration strategy, to introduce a comprehensive national forest monitoring system and build institutional capacities.
A special action plan is proposed to address energy, particularly fuel poverty in rural areas.
