The Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation finances “Living Landscapes for Market Development in Armenia” (LILA) project, which has two components: “Strategic Development Agency” NGO implements the economic component, whereas WWF Armenia oversees the environmental component. LILA project operates in 7 consolidated communities in Tavush, Lori, Vayots Dzor, and Syunik Regions.

LILA Project Coordinator Naira Yeritsyan, presenting the works carried out in Tavush and Lori Regions, particularly noted that the project supported Ijevan consolidated community – installing solar stations in Sevqar and Yenoqavan villages, drinking troughs in pastures, and the roads leading to pastures were improved.

Support was provided to Pambak and Tumanyan consolidated communities, and the main focus was directed toward solar stations, improvement of infrastructure, and installation of drinking troughs in the pastures.

Coordinator of the economic component of SDA project, Alla Ghazaryan, noted that currently there are 31 beneficiaries within the scope of the economic component – 11 are involved in food supply, and 20 are engaged in the field of tourism and hospitality.

One million Swiss francs, within the framework of the economic component, was directed precisely to the development of tourism, hospitality, wild collection, and agricultural product supply value chains in the communities, as Alla Ghazaryan explained in detail.
