The VTB Bank is looking for a new operation, which will agree to operate Alaverdi plant and Teghout mine at the same time, as Lori Regional Head Andrei Ghukasyan stated today at the meeting with the plant workers facing unemployment. 'ACP' Company is also pledged, as there was no service of the loan or it was incomplete, so 'ACP' will also become the property of the VTB Bank. I don't know whether it will happen, whether or not it will happen at all. As we have to deal with the same bank and the same owner, therefore we have to consider them within one platform and want to assign to one operation, which will deal with both of them and re-operate them.'
Regional Head Andrei Ghukasyan told today that he had a telephone talk both with the government members and the managing representative of the VTB Bank. The latter assured there are two other companies and they are running negotiations with them. Already next week the name of the company will be known, which is ready to re-operate two enterprises having left 1300 people unemployed.
Current Director of the plant Lusine Mejlumyan also attended the meeting with the plant workers as a representative of 'Vallex' Company. In reply to the question of the Azatutyun whether Regional Head's statement means that 'Vallex' has lost its authorities over 'ACP' Company operating Alaverdi plant, Lusine Mejlumyan said the position of the bank is unclear for them so far.
The plant workers again blocked the interstate railroad: they say they are going to spend the night on the railroads. In the evening Deputy PM Tigran Avinyan invited Alaverdi residents having blocked the railroad to the meeting in person. While the meeting between the cabinet members and the delegation members is ongoing, the other participants of the protest demonstration will keep the railroad blocked.
