1 Billion 51 Million AMD of Royalties To Be Allocated to 33 Settlements in 6 Communities 2 percent of the royalties paid by 7 mining companies in 2021, that is one billion fifty one million AMD, will be allocated to 33 settlements in 6 communities of Syunik, Lori, Kotayk and Gegharkunik Regions. A total of 52.560.677.2 thousand AMD of royalties were entered into the Armenian state budget by the companies. The relevant decision was adopted by the RA government on March 28, 2024.
Meghri Community will receive 93 million AMD, Qajaran Community - 190 million AMD, Kapan - 251 million AMD, Vardenis - 185 million AMD, Alaverdi - 246 million AMD, Tsaghkadzor - 85 million AMD.
Communities affected by royalties can implement socio-economic development projects in 9 directions: agriculture, education and science, health, social security, culture, sports and youth employment, urban planning, water supply and drainage, transport and road construction, tourism.
