It has been revealed that in the administrative areas of the communities of Gorayk, Karahunj, Vorotanavan, Harjis, Angeghakot, and Shinuhayr, Syunik Region, Armenia, approximately 1,470,000 cubic meters of volcanic tuff-like rock mass have been illegally extracted from a total area of 16.95 hectares.
An environmental damage assessment was carried out to calculate the impact of this unauthorized economic activity on soil resources. The estimated damage amounts to 33,864,713 AMD.
Reports have been submitted to Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia.
