TVEL Fuel Company and the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) have signed a contract for the supply of Russian nuclear fuel to the plant.
The supply will be carried out in the fourth quarter of this year, which will enable to fully meet the Armenian NPP’s current requirements with fresh nuclear fuel.
At the end of 2021, the massive modernization project of the operating power unit was completed at the plant, owing to which the operation period of this power unit can be extended for another ten years after 2026.
