

Planned preventive maintenance works (PPM-2026) are continuing at the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant in accordance with the approved schedule and in strict compliance with the applicable technical requirements, as the official website of the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant.
"Within the framework of Outage-2026, comprehensive measures are being implemented, aimed at enhancing the reliability of major equipment, extending operational lifespans, and further improving the plant's safety level.
At this stage, technical modernization works are being carried out, aimed at increasing the reliability and safe operation level of the main systems.
Particular attention is being paid to the improvement of control processes and the modernization of automated systems.
In addition, technical improvement works are being carried out on individual components, as well as the modernization of the alarm systems for the Main Control Room (MCR) to increase the efficiency of monitoring and control", according to the statement, the maintenance activities are progressing as planned.
Specifically, the works involve representatives from "Rusatom Service," "Atomenergoremont" companies, as well as its branch, "Novovoronezhatomenergoremont" (NVAER). Technical support for welding operations is provided by specialists from JSC "NPO CNIIITMASH," while non-destructive testing of welds is carried out by "Belatom Service."
It should be recalled that operations at the Metsamor Nuclear Power Plant were suspended on April 1 of this year. The scheduled maintenance works are expected to be completed within five months.
