On August 16, as of 12:00, fire fighting and search and rescue operations are continuing in the area of "Surmalu" shopping center, the number of victims reached 16. The Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) reports that the identity of 2 of the 16 victims found has not yet been established.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, 60 citizens applied to medical centers in Yerevan, 12 out of them continue to receive treatment, and the remaining 48, having received appropriate medical care, were discharged.
Reminder: on August 14, at 1:23 p.m., the National Center for Crisis Management was alerted that an explosion and fire occurred in "Surmalu" shopping center located at 15 Arshakunyats Street in Yerevan, as a result of which the three-story building partially collapsed.
