According to RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's decision 938-A dated on August 16, August 17 and 18 were declared mourning days in memory of the citizens who died as a result of the blast at "Surmalu" shopping center.
“Guided by Article 7 (5) of Law "On the Structure and Activities of the Government":
1. In memory of the citizens who died as a result of the fire and explosion that took place on the territory of "Yerevan Canning Factory" CJSC on August 14, 2022, declare mourning in the Republic of Armenia on August 17-18, 2022, inclusive.”
