On January 27, the employees of Vayots Dzor Regional Department of Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body discovered a case of illegal fishing as a result of joint measures taken with the Police, as Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body informs.
According to the press release, in the section of the Arpa river flowing through Areni community, 52 small fish, 2.8 kg species of bream and minnow were found and seized, as well as a fishing rod, which is a tool for poaching.
