As a result of another large-scale aggression unleashed by Azerbaijan against Artsakh on September 19, 2023, casualties and injuries were recorded among civilians and military personnel. According to the data collected from the HRD staff of the Republic of Artsakh, two victims (one child) and 26 wounded (11 children) were recorded among the civilian population.

Cases of targeting the civilian population, damage or destruction of civilian objects were recorded in peaceful settlements of Martakert, Martun, Askeran, Shushi regions and Stepanakert.

"As a result of the targeting and improper operation of the communication system, the HRD staff is facing serious problems in terms of gathering facts. The fact-finding work is ongoing. We will issue updated reports on the damage recorded among the civilian population and objects.

After the nine-month siege, starvation and exhaustion, the criminal authorities of Azerbaijan entered the bloody stage of the genocide of the people of Artsakh. This is the consequence of the impunity of continuous Azerbaijani crimes and the unaddressed actions of the international community," the press release states.

According to the official press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Artsakh, as of now, the intensity of the fire on the line of contact has decreased significantly.

Reminder: on September 19, around 13:00, the Azerbaijani armed forces violated the ceasefire along the line of contact with Nagorno-Karabakh by firing rockets. Stepanakaret was also shelled.
