On November 29, the fire that broke out between Urasar and Katnaghbyur settlements in Lori Region was extinguished on November 30, as Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia informs.
On November 29, Crisis Management Center of the Lori Regional Rescue Department received information that smoke had been detected between the Urasar and Katnaghbyur settlements. An operative team from the regional rescue department, two fire-rescue crews from the firefighting units, and two operative teams were dispatched to the scene.
On November 30, a large number of rescue forces, eco-rangers, volunteers from “Lorré” rescue squad, and local residents were involved in the firefighting efforts.
The fire was contained at 19:30 and fully extinguished at 19:40. Grass-covered areas were burned.
