On November 6, 2014, the Government of the Republic of Armenia decided to give priority over lands in certain communities in Aragatsotn and Shirak regions. The reason is the construction of Talin-Landzhik and Landzhik-Gyumri roads of North-South Road Corridor. For the construction of the Talin-Gyumri road of 46.1 km 1017 units of land in Akunk, Talin, Mastara communities in Aragatsotn region and Landzhik, Sarnaghbyur, Maralik communities in Shirak region will be used.
North-South road corridor, which runs in the territory of Armenia from the north to the south, includes motor highways Agarak-Kapan-Yerevan-Bavra and road infrastructures joining to the road network of Georgia, which runs to Poti and Batumi ports and to Tbilisi. The length of North-South corridor makes up 556 km, the duration of its construction is 2009-2017.
