RA Nature Protection Ministry denied the information spread in the mass media under which construction works are held in “Khosrov” Reserve territory breaking the rule and order in the reserve. Public Affairs Department of RA Nature Protection Ministry spread information that the territory talked about does not comprise any part of the “Khosrov” Reserve, and it is a separate preserved territory - “Gilan” Reservation, designed for tourism development.
According to Zhanna Galyan, President of Ecotourism Association of Armenia, the territory of about 118 ha was separated from ‘Khosrov” Reserve in 2007 and its status was lowered to Reservation.
