In its election program for 2007 the Republican Party of Armenia presented the environmental part entitled “Healthy Environment and Nature Protection.” The following problems were laid down: 1) developing and implementing resolutions on Lake Sevan 2) the control and improvement of forest cover and expanding mechanisms for forest development, 3) developing and implementing program on combating desertification, 4) the implementation of environmental problems in Yerevan and other large towns.
