RA Ministry Environment has accepted EcoLur's recommendations regarding the bill "On Amendments and Supplements to Law on Lake Sevan". According to the bill, it was planned not to allocate money from the state budget for the restoration, preservation, reproduction, normal development and use of the ecosystem of Lake Sevan, to allocate money for these measures from sources not prohibited by the legislation, from foreign countries, international organizations, as well as from collections, donations, etc. by legal and natural persons. EcoLur considered this amendment as unacceptable, because Lake Sevan is an object of strategic significance for RA, and for its conservation, ecosystem restoration and sustainable use, the state should play a primary role, including financial allocations combined with allocations from other sources not prohibited by legislation. RA Environment Ministry accepted this proposal. The Ministry also accepted another proposal by EcoLur to prescribe a supervisory body in the draft law for the preservation and sustainable use of Lake Sevan ecosystem.
