

Lake Sevan water level is decreasing. This year, the lake reached its highest level on June 6, 7, and 8, measuring 1900.77 meters. Since June 9, the lake level has been gradually dropping. As of June 24, it stands at 1900.70 meters, which is 6 cm higher than the level recorded at the same time last year.
It should be noted that on June 5, the Government of Armenia decided to withdraw 131.8 million cubic meters of water from Lake Sevan for irrigation purposes. As of June 24, 29.687 million cubic meters of water have been released from Lake Sevan through the Hrazdan HPP canal, while 90.269 million cubic meters have flowed into the lake through Arpa-Sevan tunnel.
