As it turns out, we were cheated and are still being cheated in regard with the increase in Lake Sevan level. As a matter of fact, the water flowing out of the lake is much more than the official figures show. Engineer-mechanic Sergey Ajinyan shows his calculations made during his observations of Sevan. "...Unfortunately, the policy of the authorities towards Sevan has changed. Instead of 120 million cum discussion at the very beginning, the water outlets from Lake Sevan reached 170 million. Then, they started taking water in additional amounts for different reasons, as proved with the following facts. First of all, the schedule of water outlets was prolonged without any reasons, while the increase in the lake level stopped. If to have a look at the increase during 12 years from 2002 to 2013, we can see the level increase reduced by 2.1 times. If to compare the last three years, the increase reduced by 5 times as compared with the first three years (2002-2005). The lake level increased only by 2 cm during the last two years.
