Shots Fired at Apartment of "Green Armenia" NGO President Tehmine Yenoqyan

Shots were fired at the apartment of Tehmine Yenoqyan, President of "Green Armenia" NGO, environmental activist. She posted about on the Facebook social network thus reporting a crime. Her post says:

“Report on crime

On 29.06.2022, around 00:30 a gunshot was fired at the window of the living room of our apartment from a weapon unknown to me. As a result of the shot, the window glass was broken and the fired shell entered the living room of our apartment. I called the police hotline, the officers of the Nor Nork police department visited our apartment and took the shell with them. The crimes committed against me and my family do not end there, as a result of the fact that the law enforcement agencies did not take effective measures. 12.07.2022 around 00:50 a second gunshot was fired at my living room window, as a result of which the window glass was broken again, and the fired shell entered our living room, damaging the ceiling and the wall. I immediately called the police again. Even before the above mentioned event, on the night of March 8-9, 2022, the front door of our house was set on fire. Police describe all these actions as property damage, not crimes against my life. From my point of view these crimes are part of a single chain - targeted at me and my family, and committed at the same location. Two consecutive shots at my living room can’t be a coincidence. In both cases, at the time of the shooting, my mother and I were in our apartment, and those shots could have caused our death; the fact that we survived was merely a matter of luck. In other words, assassination attempts continue to be made against me and my mother. The police authority has to initiate a criminal case with the characteristics of a crime against life and health, not just property damage. On the occasion of the incident, we appealed to the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia and the Police Chief of the Republic of Armenia with the request to conduct a proper legal assessment and effective investigation.

Apart from the published text, I do not have any other comments, interviews for the media, please do not call.

Tehmine Yenoqyan".

We call on law enforcement agencies to take all measures to uncover the crime.
