At the press conference held in "Armenpress" press hall, Deputy Director of Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center Gagik Surenyan stated that the average monthly air temperature was 4-5 degrees higher. "Now cold Arctic air currents are approaching our country from the Scandinavian regions. The northern regions of the republic, Shirak, Lori, Tavush, were the first to react to it. Compared to the previous days, there is a decrease in temperature by 10-12 degrees," Gagik Surenyan said.
At the moment, there is precipitation in the form of snow in separate mountainous regions of Shirak, Lori, Aragatsotn, Kotayk. The air temperature will drop by 5-6 degrees on March 30, and it will decrease by another 6-8 degrees on March 31. Already on the night of April 1, the air temperature will drop by another 4-6 degrees.
As a result, the lowest air temperatures will be recorded in the foothills, where orchards are also in bloom. The air temperature in the mentioned areas is expected to reach -4.
