Armenian residents Gohar Saroyan and Bayandur Poghosyan sent an announcement on crime to the Policy of Armenia regarding torturing the wolf to death which had killed lambs in Vahan village in Gegharkunik region. A video appeared in the Internet which shows how people torture and kill the wolf.
The video caused the public's anger after which it was removed from Youtube. " A wolf itself has never such a sadistic treatment to its victim.. It kills immediately to satisfy its hunger, to live simply like any other living being. And here I don't know what these "people" are doing.. Does anybody like agony shocks? I suppose that each of us will take those shocks to heart while watching that video. And let's try to understand what is a human, why he is so cruel... The wrong strategy of the RA Ministry of Nature Protection has its results. The wolf was made the sinner of all the evils and besides the slaughter was paid. There is no species management concept and plan that's why we have such a situation", wrote users of Facebook social website.
The announcement on crime says," In Vahan village on the territory of Armenia an operation took place condemned by Article 92 of the RA Law on Administrative Offenses. The article says: "Cruel treatment to animals which caused extinction and mutilation, as well as torturing animals".
