“Vallex” Company Groups, which includes “Teghout” CJSC, the developer of Teghout copper and molybdenum mine, denies Ombudsman Advisor Anna Safaryan’s statement made on 18 March. The company statement particularly says, “With a reference to the statement circulated on behalf of Advisor to Ombudsman on Environmental Protection Anna Safaryan on 18.03.2013, we would like to state the following points therein have no connection with reality:
1. In 2006 Teghout CJSC was issued the permit with a number of legislation violations.
- In 2006 Teghout CJSC was not issued any new permit and/or license at all.
2. The current mining is carried out by a new project for 2010, which hasn’t undergone any expertise.
- On 19 December 2012 the company circulated exhaustive explanations in the mass media and displayed on the official website of the company (http://teghout.am/am/news/51.htm), and further discussions of this issue is rather strange.”
