Leyla Khachatryan intends to build a waste metal smelting plant in Yerevan's Erebuni district.
A public discussion will be held on the construction of a waste metal smelting plant at 22/1 Arin Berd Street, represented by Leyla Khachatryan (Phase 1) will be held at 87 Sasuntsi Davt Street (building of Erebuni administrative district) at 11:00 am on April 5, 2022). Any other information about this program is not yet public.
It should be reminded that in another part of the capital, Avan administrative district, "Copper" LLC was going to establish a similar plant for copper and aluminium scrap. However, civil society protested against the dangers of such a project. As a result, in 2021 Environment Ministry issued a negative conclusion to the application for the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report of the smelter. Yerevan Municipality also rejected the implementation of this project.
