Nature Protection and Mining Inspection Body found violations in "Tsav" SHPP built on the Tsav River, which is considered to be the pulse of Shikahogh Reserve in the Syunik Region. Syunik Regional Department of Inspection Body, as a result of its inspection in "Tsav" SHPP belonging to "Lesoma" OJSC, found out that the water meter installed at the water intake point was not sealed, for which an administrative fine in the amount of 300,000 AMD was imposed.
At the same time, the company carried out more water intake than the amount specified in the water use permit, for which an administrative fine in the amount of 200,000 AMD was imposed. Moreover, for not submitting the individual norms of water use and drainage (WD), "Lesoma" OJSC was fined with 250,000 AMD, as Nature Protection and Mining Inspection Body informs.
Reminder: "Lesoma" Company intends to build another SHPP on the Tsav River.
