In 2022, other measures will be implemented at the expense of the funds for the cleaning of the littoral areas of Lake Sevan.
In 2022, the littoral areas of Lake Sevan were not cleaned according to the plan provided by the RA state budget for 2022.
According to the rationale of RA Government's resolution No. 1169-N dated on July 28, 2022, for the purpose of "Cleaning of flooded forest plantations of Lake Sevan" measure, 118,163,20 thousand AMD were allocated for the purpose of cleaning 155 hectares of flooded areas. In order to implement the event, an open tender was announced on February 4, 2022, but no winner was announced.
Then it was decided to acquire inventory consulting services for the cleaning of the flooded forest plantations of Lake Sevan. The price offer of the only participating and recognized organization made up 48,800,000 AMD. Governmental documents do not reveal the name of the winning organization.
On September 8, 2022, RA government adopted another decision regarding the clearing of forest plantations on the shores of Lake Sevan. According to the rationale of this resolution, the state budget for 2022 provides for the clearing of 89 hectares of flooded forest plantations within the framework of the amount of about 128.0 million AMD, while it will be possible to clear up to 64.8 hectares of land by the end of the year.
The executive decided to redistribute the unused amount of 25,815,000 AMD to "Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center" of Environment Ministry, "Sevan" National Park, "Dilijan" National Park, "Reserve Complex", "Khosrov Forest" State Reserve and "Arpi Lake" National Park in order to provide financing for the first state registrations of ownership rights to real estates of SNCOs.
