Instead of Imposing Its Decision on Fish Farms, RA Government Made Concessions

176 fish farms operating in Ararat Valley do not have water measuring equipment, as a result of which the amount of water flowing from the fish farms to the land (drainage) systems is not assessed.

The requirement for the installation of water meters was established by decision N 1201-Н dated July 22, 2021. 176 fish farms, whose water use permits have not expired, did not fulfill the requirement of the decision, and did not sign a contract, citing the high market price of water measuring equipment, which has a negative effect on the cost of products manufactured by businessmen. As a result, the whole calculation was carried out only by the organization operating the land systems, which caused an additional burden for the organization.

In order to solve the problem, the executive decided to amend its own decision on September 1, 2022, thus creating an opportunity to use the volume of drainage indicated in the water use permit application as a basis in the absence of water measuring equipment.

In essence, RA government could not implement the decision it had taken against the businessman and made concessions a year later.
