In 2025, the Environmental and Mining Inspection Body recorded 202 cases of violations, resulting in calculated damage amounting to  1 billion 154 million AMD. Fines totaling 92 million AMD were imposed, as the Head of the Environmental and Mining Inspection Body, Hovhannes Martirosyan, stated during the press conference held on 20 January.

Out of the recorded violations, 57 involved water-using companies, 15 related to fish farms, and 9 concerned the mining sector.

Particular attention was given to preventing illegal water use. As a result, 73 activities were suspended due to the absence of required permits, and through 68 of these suspensions, approximately 6.5 million cubic meters of illegal water use per year were prevented. In addition, 147 ownerless deep wells were identified, the conservation of which is expected to save approximately 20 million cubic meters of water annually.
