“WuDin” LLC has submitted the construction project of “Kechout-1” SHPP to the environmental expertise of Nature Protection Ministry. The public hearings of the project will be held at 12:00 on 13 May in Gndevaz Village Municipality, Vayots Dzor Region.
“Kechout-1” SHPP is planned to be constructed on the Arpa River. It will annually produce 5.47 million kW/h electricity.
Under the project, the project affected area doesn’t have cultural and specially protected areas, no significant impact on flora and fauna. It doesn’t mention either the endemic species of the flora and fauna, as well as the environmental flow needed for the river.
