The Meghri River flows in Syunik Region. It’s the left tributary to the Aras River, its length is 32 km. It starts from the southern slopes of Meghri mountain range and flows into the Aras River. As of 1 Jenuary 2014, under the licenses issued by Public Services Regulatory Committee, the following SHPPs are constructed on this river:
- “Meghri” SHPP operated by “QH” LLC, derivation length – 135*2 meters (270 meters),
- “Nzhdeh” SHPP operated by “Sar-Rub” LLC, derivation length – 2020 meters,
- “Kantegh” SHPP operated by “Gelieguzan” LLC, derivation length – 1090.0 and 3280.0 meters.
The SHPPs pipe a total river area of 6660 meters, which makes up 20.8125% of the river.
