The outcomes of the examination conducted by the State Environmental Inspection in Gougark didn’t satisfy green activists who had detected illegal felling. “Felling amount is much more. Just the inspector should have raised higher, deep into the forest, where he could see freshly cut stumps. For example, the section of the forest where they made me delete photos,” said activist Vahe Vardoumyan who took a photo shoot on wide-scale felling in Gougark. He offers to hold a joint visit in the forest section and show the scale of that felling.
Again and again activist Mariam Sukhudyan raised her voice in support of the forest. She proposes to discuss the issue of immediate reforestation at the expense of fines and environmental payments. On behalf of green activists, Mariam Sukhudyan suggests involving them in reforestation as volunteers.
