The signing of the donation agreement for the 12.5% shares of Lydian Armenia to the Armenian government has been postponed until December 30: this decision was reached at the Government session held on October 24.
According to the rationale, the Armenian government approved decision N 81-A “On accepting shares as a donation” on January 18, 2024. In line with this decision, the Republic of Armenia plans to accept, as a donation from Lydian Resources Armenia Limited, 12.5% of the 100% shares of Lydian Armenia Closed Joint Stock Company, which have a nominal value of 5,000 AMD per share, amounting to a total of 12,503 shares. The management authority for these shares will be transferred to the Ministry of Economy of Armenia.
The agreement for the donation of the shares was initially scheduled to be signed by November 1, 2024, the signing will not take place by the specified date but due to technical issues in the process. Considering this, the draft law proposes to extend the deadline for signing the agreement until December 30, 2024, according to the official document.
