In 2020, 625,109 items of trout weighing 1.64 - 112 grams were let out into Lake Sevan, out of which 592,433 were subspecies of Sevan trout Gegharkunik and 32,676 were summer trout, as RA Environment Ministry informs.
The young fish was bred in the net cage of "Sevan Aqua" CJSC of "Sevan Trout Reserves Recovery and Fish Breeding" Foundation. It should be noted that since 2016 this fund has been committed to releasing young fish into the lake for the restoration of fish reserves in Lake Sevan.
