The Armenian branch of German Nature Conservation Union (NABU) has found a black vulture's nest in Vayots Dzor Region. A similar case was described in Vayots Dzor Region only once in the 1987 Red Book, however there is no reference to nesting. The black vulture (Aegypius monachus) is red-listed in Armenia.
