It is with deep sorrow that we learned about the passing away of Vitali Leonovich, Director of Stepanavan’s "Sochut" Dendropark. For many years, he honorably and conscientiously led the dendropark - that charming corner of nature in Lori - founded by his father, Edmond Leonovich, a Polish architect and dendrologist, who was also the park’s first director.
Leonovich devoted all his life to Stepanavan Dendropark and saved this beautiful park from invasions and felling in the hardest years, preserving and multiplying its rich collection.
